Day 253: A Bun In the Oven

Words cannot describe how happy I am to be pregnant!! We have been trying and waiting for what has seemed like forever!
Earlier this week I was feeling pretty sick and I thought maybe I was- but I was scared to test because I thought I would just get a negative result again.
When I finally decided to test, I went upstairs and did it. While I waited, I prepared myself to see the negative test result that I was so used to . When I looked, I couldn't believe my eyes. I started crying and wishing my husband was home so I could share the news with him. Three hours later, when he got here, I was able to share the good news with him.
Our First Baby gift for the nursery!!

I can't wait to be a mommy. It's what I have wanted to be for most of my life and now it is finally coming true!!

Day 252: Lots of Progress

Yay!! I finished four folder games! Now I just need to get them laminated and we can start using them!

Day 251: Starting My Homework

I love that my job allows me to work with kids. That means I get to color and do fun stuff like that!! Yesterday I started getting some folder games ready for the kids. I'm excited to try them out... I think they'll be great!

Day 250: Ready for Halloween!

I started getting my decorations out for Halloween!! I'm excited for it! I am glad I get to be working with kids during Halloween, because that makes any holiday more fun! I finally decided on my costume, and I am excited for it. But you'll just have to wait until I post pictures on Halloween, because I am keeping it on the D.L.

Day 249: Wildflowers

I've always been fascinated by wildflowers. I just think they are beautiful. Not to mention, they grow in the wild... I mean, they aren't something someone meticulously planted and cared for. They just grow... because that is what they do!

Day 248: Peace

On Tuesday I went to the temple. It was so peaceful and wonderful there. I love going and being reminded of the covenants I have made. I also love being reminded of the love my Heavenly Father has for me.

Day 247: Temple and Fall Colors

Today I drove up to the Draper Temple. The fall colors up there were AMAZING!! It's such a beautiful temple too. Plus I am a little biased since this is where I married my eternal sweetheart!

Day 246: Let's Try This Again!!

Well thanks to the untimely death of my Ninja blender, I was on a hunt for a new one. I found this little gem at Bed Bath and Beyond. This KitchenAid Blender got so many good reviews, from people who say they use their blenders every day... one woman even said she's had it for 5 years and uses it every day... I was sold!
This morning I had one of the smoothest smoothies I've had in a LONG time!!

Day 245: My Halloween Wreath

Yesterday I made a Halloween wreath. I think this one is my favorite out of all the ones I have made so far!!

Day 244: My Attempt at Some Moon Shots

Friday night I thought the moon looked so cool! It looked like there was a man in the moon. Unfortunately, the shots didn't turn out as well as how it looked.

Day 242: Updated iPhone

I updated my iPhone with the new software... and I love it!! The camera feature has a panoramic setting. So this is what I got. It's almost our whole front room. :)

Day 241: In the Leafy Tree Tops...

What can I say... I love the trees in the fall. I just can't get enough.

Day 240: Bored...

All I can say is... I get really bored when Brian is away... :)

Day 239: A Tasty Snack

I found this cracker recipe on Pinterest. My husband LOVES them. They are really tasty and a fun way to give saltine crackers a little kick.
You need:
One box (or four packages) of saltine crackers
One envelope of Ranch dressing mix packet
1 cup oil
2 tsp garlic powder
2-3 tsp crushed red pepper

Mix oil, ranch dressing, garlic powder and red pepper in a bowl. Pour over crackers in a large bowl and mix well. Bake at 250 degrees for 20 min, stirring half way.
Enjoy!!

Day 238: My Favorite Kid Book

Quite a long time ago, when my nephew who is now 12- was about 2... he had a favorite book. I lived with his family for a few months, and he would always ask me to read this book to him. Since he had me read the same book every day, I decided to make it interesting for me. So I would do voices, and ad-lib. The funny thing is, the book that got boring to me, is now such fun!! It brings back fun memories, and I love reading it to kids. The other day I read it to my Kindergarten class and they loved it!! They loved it so much that at the end of the story they all clapped. I can honestly say that was the first time my reading aloud of a book warranted an applause!! They even said "read it again, please!".
I love it so much that I have two copies. One as a back up just in case the other one gets ruined.

Day 237: Taking A Sick Day

I got me a little flu bug this week. So Thursday afternoon and all day friday, and Saturday I was in bed. Good thing I had the Gilmore Girls to keep me company. I love this show so much!! Although, to be honest I don't think I really watched much of it when it was on TV. Funny how that happens sometimes.

Day 236: My Cuties

I love my job!! I am so glad I get to work with these cuties every day. They make me smile, and they make me laugh. I love the things they say... I love to watch their little personalities come out as they feel more and more comfortable at school.

Day 235: Love Makes Our House A Home

I am so grateful for my amazing husband! He shows me love in everything he does.

Day 234: Grateful for my Asthma

The other day I finally had a reason to be grateful for my asthma. One of our students with asthma, was having a severe asthma attack. We're talking... so bad that I could hear him wheezing from a few feet away from him. We had a sub, and the sub didn't know he had asthma. I ended up staying later than I normally do, and I am glad that I did. I was able to get him the help he needed, because I recognized the signs that he was having an asthma attack.
