Day 100: Relaxing With A Good Book

 Today is my 100th day of the photo challenge, and I was planning on doing something kinda cool to mark this milestone. Unfortunately, I had about 100 things to do today and I am plumb tuckered out!!

I just love relaxing with a good book. This book is the one I am currently reading. I love that the library is so close so I can always be reading books!!

Day 99: Family

I love spending time with family. Tonight we had a get together with the Arrington side of the family. It was a perfect night to fly a kite!! We had a great time (despite the fact that I was freezing cold).
I look forward to the even warmer months when we can have more gatherings outside!!

Day 98: First Time Making Jam

Today I made freezer jam for the first time ever. As far as I know, it worked... I have to wait until tomorrow before I know though. The instructions say to let it sit out for 24 hours.
I can't wait to try it!

Day 97: Thanksgiving Point

 Today I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point with my sister and her kids. I was in heaven!! I took over 100 photos, so I chose a few to share here. I hope you enjoy them!!

Day 96: A Good Day

 Well, we are nearing the end of the school year, so I want to make sure I have pictures of the kids I get to work with.
This afternoon, someone rang my doorbell. I went to answer it, and there standing on the doorstep was my husband with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He said he was here to pick me up for our date. He is really good at surprising me with things. I am one lucky girl!!

Day 95: Teacher Appreciation

 We are having so much fun this week, showing our appreciation for our teacher. The kids are so excited to be involved in surprises and they are really good at keeping secrets too. :)

Day 94: Tiptoe through the Tulips and Girls Night Out

 So I am a day behind at blogging, but not at taking pictures. Plus, some of the pictures I took today cannot be revealed until later this week... so I will have to catch up at the end of the week.
Last night, we had a girls night and went and saw "The Lucky One". It was a really good movie!!
On the way into my sisters I snapped some pictures of her tulips. On the way out of the theater we snapped some pictures with Johnny Depp!!

Day 93: My New Toy

 Yesterday we lost a beloved member of our family. Our blender passed away. :(
I was very sad because I use the blender almost every day to make a smoothie for breakfast. So this morning I had to go to Jamba Juice before work. After work I went a purchased a Ninja! I am so excited to use this bad boy. Can you see how many blades are in there? I think this is going to cut down the time it takes me to make a smoothie by a huge amount.

Day 92: Homemade Mac and Cheese

 This is one of our favorite recipes. It's Alton Brown's Oven baked Mac and Cheese. It is to die for!!

Day 91: Planted A Garden

 Today my husband and I bought some flowers and then I came home and planted them. I was so excited. I'm always admiring other peoples front yards that have beautiful flowers. Then I started thinking, "oh yeah, I have a front yard too".  I had no idea what I was doing. I just planted them in a way that I thought looked nice. I mean, they are flowers, I don't think there is a way to make them look bad.

Day 90: Fun In The Sun

 Spring is a perfect season to take several gorgeous pictures. I am so glad that the sky cleared today and the weather was nice. I had a lovely afternoon with my sister and her kids, walking around the neighborhood and then ending up at the park by their house. I hope for many more days like this!!

Day 89: Perspective

 Today I had to stop and remind myself of a little perspective. Sometimes I get frustrated at work with the kids I work with. Today, while we were at lunch I had to break up a little tiff. At times like this I find myself frustrated. But then I took a moment to stop and think about what I would be doing if I still worked at eBay. I realized that it could be a lot worse. I could be talking on the phone to someone who tells me I am stupid and treats me like garbage. Instead, I get to work with these adorable kids every day.

Think about what you have, and be thankful... it could always be worse. :)

Day 88: A Light Through the Darkness

 Isn't it true that it's always darkest right before the dawn? We all are faced with darkness in our lives. But if you look close enough, there will always be a hint of light too. It just depends on what you are focused on. If you are struggling with something right now, just don't forget to look for the light.
Today I took these first two pictures because I loved how despite the fact that the sky was dark and cloudy- there was still a hint of light shining through the clouds.

A little later as I looked out the window, I noticed that the sky had opened up and the light took over the darkness.
When I focused on the light, the light became more prominent. The same thing happens in life. If we focus on the light, we will be filled with that light.
